VX400M with activated carbons, successfully applied to cosmetic surgery

Cosmetic surgeries involving laser and ectrosurgery activate thermal destruction of dermal tissue, producing harmful fumes.

As a fact, exhalations coming from destroyed organic tissue can contain toxic gases, benzene fumes, hydrocyanic acid, formaldehyde, bio-aerosol and even cellular material alive or dead (including blood) and viruses.
When inhaled in high concentrations, those fumes can cause serious irritation to eyes and respiratory tracts. Indeed, surgical exhalations put operators’ health at risk, besides impairing their visual on the operation area.

This is the reason why cosmetic working environments need an extraction system. It even becomes mandatory when cosmetic, dermatologic and surgical lasers are employed, as well as ectrosurgery.

AirSafe® protects from harmful fumes

Cosmetic operations carried out with lasers are many and varied. Arising fumes from those are equally diverse. As a consequence, good quality of air within surgical structures is fundamental for operators’ and patients’ safety.

AirSafe® offers its high-flow suction systems to beauty clinics, in order to overcome difficuties deriving from toxic fumes and spreading of unpleasant smells within the operating room. Thanks to high-flow capacity and suction straight from the source, AirSafe® medical aerosol suction systems clear operator’s field of view on the operation area, extract viruses and other contaminant particles and eliminate unpleasant smells with the inconrporated activated carbons filter.

Beyond that, AirSafe® supports the operation without discomfort for doctors and assistants:

  • noise level always under 60DBA
  • clear hood to not hinder view on the operation area
  • suction arm with pivoting joints to be easely and conveniently located

Extraction technique employed by AirSafe® is unique and patent pending. This, allows recycling air in the environment once it has been extracted and sanitized.
In other words: contaminating exhalations are extracted straight from the source before they have the chance to pollute the environment; afterwards, they are cleaned up to 99.995% by HEPA H14 or ULPA U15 filters; only then, air can be recycled in the working environment, with the certainty that air’s bacterial load have been abated.
